In 2010, Tugboat Records launched in Japan. As a licensed partner of musicians and labels from all over the world, we have released more than 50 music titles.

With our extensive knowledge and experience, we can develop localized and culturally appropriate marketing strategies. As a result, we are able to successfully introduce unique music products into the Japanese marketplace, taking into consideration the individuality of each artist and label.

In recent years, the music scene has changed dramatically, and now we are convinced that the tide is turning for DIY musicians, labels, and all other music makers.We have also connected with several media outlets, resellers, fashion brands, and TV advertisement agencies to more effectively expose musicians and their music to the public.

In 2021, we launched TORNADO BUSINESS Publicity which supports startups and entrepreneurs who are seeking opportunities in Japan.
